The need to be perfect comes in many forms - personally, it looks like 'being' who you think others want you to be. Professionally, it can result in procrastinating, overthinking, doing and re-doing projects....
However you process perfection, it's ultimately stopping you from moving forward towards the life you want for yourself, causing you to feel 'less than', to question yourself, to compare yourself, to hold yourself back.
